Ocean Gateway MVC w/ Rescue

On Friday July 4, 2014 @ 22:27 hours the Hebron VFD was dispatched for a reported MVC w/ Rescue at the intersection of Ocean Gateway (Rt. 50) and White Lowe Rd. Due to the Hebron VFD Firemans Carnival and Fireworks Display taking place, the Allen VFD (Sta. 15) had been standing by at Sta. 5 for fire stand-by and had just been released minutes prior to the dispatch.

First arriving unit was E/T 15-1 (Allen) and advised Central of a 2 vehicle MVC with multiple patients, confirmed entrapment and established Ocean Gateway command. The crew of E/T 15-1 started patient care and vehicle extrication. Ladder 5 assisted with vehicle extrication and scene lighting.

7 patients were transported to PRMC by multiple EMS units from Hebron and Salisbury. There was a total of 4 priority 1 patients and 3 priority 2 patients, all from the same vehicle.

Units remained on scene for several hours to assist the Maryland State Police and WCSD with lighting for scene reconstruction.
