On Wednesday, 10/11/2017 @ 1404 Wicomico Central alerted Station 5 for a reported MVC with a petroleum spill at the intersection of Rockawalkin Rd and Crooked Oak Ln. Ladder-5 arrived on the scene to find a single vehicle MVC with Tanker on it's side with a small fuel leak from the diesel saddle tanks. 515 (Beach) established the command and requested a response from Wicomico County Emergency Management as well as their spill trailer. Once the spill trailer was on scene, crews were able to pump off approximately 100 gallons of diesel fuel. MDE was notified due to the Tanker transporting waste oil and close proximity to a creek. Before the Tanker could be up righted MDE assited in pumping off the product. This intersection remained closed during the duration of the incident. The driver of the Tanker was unharmed and refused transport. This incident was placed under control @ 1652 and terminated @ 1826. Units on scene: Ladder-5, PM-A-5, Traffic Control-5, EM, MDE and WCSD
