On Tuesday 9/15/2015 @ 1213 Wicomico Central alerted Station's 5 (Hebron), 9 (Mardela) and 74 (Delmar) for a reported apartment fire at 209 North Main St. Engine Tanker 5 arrived on location to find light smoke showing from a one story apartment to the rear of the dispatched address. 517 (Beach) established the command and had crews make entry through the front door to complete a primary search and locate the fire. Crews were able to make quick work and extinguish the fire. The occupant was not home at the time of the fire and several animals perished do to smoke inhalation.
Command was placed under control @ 1236 and terminated @ 1320.
