On Saturday February 4, 2017 @ 1320 Wicomico Central alerted Station 5 for a reported Appliance Fire @ 7519 Barton Ave. Engine-507 arrived on location with a 1 story single family, nothing evident and 518 (Derbyshire) established Barton Ave Command. Further investigation revealed that the occupant had extinguished a grease fire just prior to their arrival, however the crew was able to locate a small fire behind the kitchen cabinets. The crew made quick work extinguishing the small fire and then overhauled the kitchen as well as secure the power to the kitchen.
Command was placed under control @ 1337 and terminated @ 1348.
