Wicomico Rescue Box 5-10, Vehicle Collision with Entrapment.
On March 22, 2026, the Hebron Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with reported injuries at the westbound intersection of Route 50 and White Lowe Road. Shortly after initial dispatch, the incident was upgraded to an accident with rescue.
Ladder 5 arrived on scene to find a two-vehicle collision, with both vehicles having gone down an embankment. One vehicle was overturned and on fire, and occupants were trapped in both vehicles.
Command requested five additional ambulances, as well as two Maryland State Police medevac helicopters. Trooper 7 (St. Mary’s County) and Trooper 6 (Easton) transported two Priority 1 patients to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore for specialized care.
Additional patients were transported by ambulances from Hebron, Salisbury, and Parsonsburg to TidalHealth in Salisbury for treatment.
Westbound Route 50 was shut down for several hours while the Maryland State Police conducted a reconstruction of the crash.
