House fire in Mardela Springs
Mardela Springs, Hebron, Sharptown, West Side and Delmar were dispatched on Wicomico Fire Box 9-6, residential structure fire with pets trapped. Ladder 5 and Tanker 508 responded from Hebron. First arriving units extinguished the fire and rescued 2 dogs and 2 bearded dragons from the house. Hebron firefighters performed roof ventilation. Mardela Springs EMS personnel treated the 2 dogs for smoke inhalation with oxygen administration and then both dogs were transported to Pets ER aboard Paramedic B-9. There were no injuries to the residents. American Red Cross responded to assist the residents.
